Punjab Govt Announces Schedule For School Exams

The Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) has announced a schedule of exams to be held throughout the state on Friday. [LAHORE]
The exams will be held from May 18 to 31 for students of grades 1 to 8, As per the schedule, said a notification by the PEC.
The committee announced that it would publish a booklet containing questions to be included in the students’ exams.

50% weightage will be for MCQ-based papers and 50% weightage in the exams will be for homework, According to the PEC.

Oral exams will be taken for students for grades 1 & 2 (Maths, English, General Knowledge, and Urdu).
Students of Grade 3 to 8 will give written examinations of all core subjects (English, Science, Maths, Computer Science, Urdu, History & Geography, and Islamiyat/Ethics).
Examinations for the remaining subjects or optional subjects will be prepared and conducted by the school itself, according to the PEC. The PEC clarified that each MCQ-paper will be of 25 questions, having 2 marks for each question with a time duration of 60 minutes.
Schools will issue report cards by June 10, according to PEC.
